# Connections ## Time out limit You can set a time out limit for queries so TablePlus will auto kill the queries when it doesn't receive any responses after a relatively long waiting period. * In the Settings/Preferences dialog (**`⌘ + ,`**), go to General tab * Set the time out limit at the Query time out box.
