# General

The General preferences contain settings that affect the behaviour of various aspects of TablePlus.

To open the general preferences panel:

* Go to menu **`TablePlus`** > **`Preferences...`**
* Or use shortcut key **`⌘ + ,`**

General preferences is the default tab.
